Uncover and explore ancient Mayan secrets of Coba, which is one of the largest Mayan settlements. The great pyramid ‘Nohoch Mul’´s remote location is filled with historical and cultural artifacts. Be guided through the secrets, facts, myths, and legends of the ancient Mayan ancestors. This archaeological site in its peak was home to 65,000 Mayans, parts of the city are still being excavated like ‘Macanxoc’.

Onward to a traditional working Mayan village, you will be welcomed with a mystical ceremony from the village Shaman. Experience a real working traditional Mayan kitchen, taste handmade fireside maize tortillas, chili peppers, beans, and squash. Sample the honey from a stingless native bee known as ‘Xunan Cab’ this honey contains medical properties.

  1. Meeting time: 30 minutes prior to departure time of 12pm
  2. Meeting point in front of Senor Frogs, located at the front of Playa de Carmen ferry pier, downtown. A host will be waiting for the guests.
  3. Start your check in, here you’ll pay the remaining balance.
  4. In Playa del Carmen, your host will drop you off with your driver-guide, and you'll begin the ride toward Coba. There might be stops along the way to pick up more passengers since this isn't a private activity.
  5. You've arrived at Maya Adrenaline and be driven deep into the jungle to experience authentic Mexican cuisine cooked on wood fire. Lime drinks accompany the traditional dish.
  6. After lunch it's time to drive to Coba in A\C van transportation.
  7. On entering the archaeological site, you will have the option of renting a bike for $65* pesos or being pedded on a tricycle for $150* pesos. This covers the two kms to ‘ Nohoch Mul’ pyramid and the 2kms around the large ruins site on the way back. (* additional cost, not included in tour price)
  8. Should you wish to walk, you are able to guide yourself around the Coba ruins for 1 hour and 30 mins.
  9. Check out the ruins with the company of your guide. This will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  10. Once you're finished visiting the ruins, a connoisseur tequila tasting session is available and time to buy souvenirs.
  11. Now it's time to head to the Mayan Village, your driver-guide will let you know.
  12. When you arrive at the village you will be welcomed with a traditional blessing, a mystical ceremony from the village Shaman.
  13. You can experience a real Mayan kitchen and watch the old ways the ancestors’ handmade maize tortillas, sample the ancient tacos of yesteryear.
  14. Spend time tasting Xunan Cab ‘the royal lady’ honey of the gods. It holds a very important place in religion, cosmogony, food, and medicine.
  15. Explore the village, buy some souvenirs if you wish.
  16. Return to playa de carman approximately 7pm.

  1. It is important to be aware that the remaining balance will be charged at the meeting point (preferably in cash). Credit card may be used, but you will have to pay the added 10% bank commission.
  2. The bus ride is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes in each direction.
  3. Guests who suffer from motion sickness should take this into consideration.
  4. We recommend you wear comfortable clothes, bathing suit, sunglasses, and a hat. Bring biodegradable sunblock (mandatory), a camera, cash, credit cards, towel, and a change of clothes.
  5. Guests must take taxi transportation to/from downtown ferry pier in Cozumel. At their own expense.

  • FREE cancellation and full refund will be issued if notified within a minimum of 24 hours prior to your tour time; if it is made within less than 24 hours in advance, booking fees cannot be refunded.
  • If you show up under the influence of drugs or alcohol, we will not allow you to take part in the activity and we will not issue a refund.
  • Our tours can operate in light rain and other moderate weather conditions; however, tour may be canceled in the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions with a full refund.

Safety & Health Guidance

  • Guests must follow safety guidelines from the staff to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
  • Staff will remind guests to keep physical distance, during the reception and brief-in
  • Health screening of guests at the check-in will be made through a quick test that involves temperature checking; any guest showing signs of respiratory illness such as coughing, and sneezing will be excluded from the tour
  • Each guest will be asked to sign a declaration of health upon arrival
  • We will allow healthy people to enjoy the tour; the staff will encourage guests to use a face mask/face covering upon arrival. Due to local government policies, the use of face mask/face covering is mandatory
  • Guests must wear face mask/face coverings in communal areas, near other guests, and when interacting with the staff
  • The staff will provide each guest antibacterial gel (at least, 70% alcohol) upon arrival
  • We have additional hand sanitizing dispensers to reduce the spread of viruses and bacteria
  • We will encourage guests to follow the handwashing protocol frequently, with soap and water for 20 seconds before and after any activity
