Currently, there is a lot to do in Isla Mujeres to have fun.
At the North Beach, we have a kilometer of white sand, deep beaches, and coconut palm trees; it's so shallow that it's safe for the children and the elderly. There are a lot of bars and restaurants along the beach.
At the South Point is Isla Mujeres Ecological Park, in there are astonishing statues, the lighthouse, a beach, and the Dawn Cliff.
At the Ecological Park El Garrafon, besides crystal clear waters, where you can swim and snorkel among the fish, there are many more activities. You can use the ziplines and the kayaks. The restaurants and bars offer a first-class service. You can also swim in the panoramic pool and enjoy the Temazcal.
From El Garrafón, take place several tours around the south of Isla Mujeres. The most amazing is the one that goes to Ix-Chel's temple, the goddess of floods, abundance and fertility, the lighthouse, and the Sculptures Park. From this point, we can also see the first sunbeam arriving in Mexico.
Every year arrive the turtles in Isla Mujeres, and to preserve these Caribean Sea's inhabitants, the Turtle farm, known as the Tortugranja, was built. At its facilities, the eggs are kept in the same conditions they would be in their mothers' nests. When the little turtles hatch, they are brought to the sea. There are several aquariums in the Tortugranja; in them, we can watch other small sea animals, such as fish, starfish, sea horses, urchins, and many more.
Once upon a time, there was a pirate; upon arriving in Isla Mujeres, he fell in love with a native woman and built a Hacienda to win her, but she didn't fall for him... This is for real! This is history! Years afterward, he was apprehended by the New Spain authorities and brought to Merida, where he was tried and sentenced to death. His Hacienda's ruins can still be visited.
